Newsletter from the Clatsop County Democrats for October 2008

Election Night Party

Join your fellow Democrats and Friends of Democrats for the Election Party on November 4, starting at 6:00 PM at the Astoria Events Center. TV monitors will be available for watching the state and local news. Additionally, preliminary results from the local elections will be released just after 8:00 pm.

During the evening, winners of the Silent Auction will be announced, which features memorabilia from this summer's Democratic National Convention. Bids are currently being taken for these pieces of history at the Campaign Office.

Democrats have much to watch this year. In addition to the presidential and senatorial elections, Democrats have strong candidates for all the major statewide positions. Locally in Clatsop County, Jim Scheller is running for county commissioner, and Arline LaMear is running for Ward 2 in Astoria. Dorothy Well is running in an uncontested race for Gearhart city council.
